In July 2015, 50 Cent filed for bankruptcy in Connecticut federal court. His bankruptcy filing comes on a court decision which ordered him to pay $7 million to a Florida woman, named Lastonia Leviston woman whose sex tape he posted online without her consent.
The rapper bought the tape from the man, Maurice Murray who was with that woman in the video. He then modified the voice in the video and added his own voice-over narration in which he referred Leviston as a “slut”. He was also blamed to mock her physical appearance.
50 cent was leading a lavish life, despite the news stories on the lawsuit that’s been filed against him and his decision to file bankruptcy. The decision is said to be his mastermind and it is believed that he uses this bankruptcy idea to try and get himself out of paying millions of dollars.
In 2015, 50 Cent got major roles in two films: “Spy” and “Southpaw”, which helped him in recovering quickly from his financial and legal troubles.

In May 2000, the shooting took place in his neighborhood of South Jamaica, Queens. Nine bullets hit him. His left cheek, his arms, legs, chest, hands, and hip became the target of the bullet. The Queens native and his associate Curtis Brown, who was hit in the hand, didn’t wait around for the police or ambulance.
He immediately drove 50 Cent directly to Jamaica Hospital as he knew 50 cents was seriously injured and was having very less time. It took him 13 days in the hospital recovering after the shooting and he got healed in 6 months.
Cent told in an interview regarding this misfortune “I lost something in life that I didn’t find until after I was shot. Initially, I was conditioned to believe in God.
