Debuted of Floyd Mayweather came in 1996 with Roberto Apodaca where Floyd Mayweather Sr. trained him to win. Mayweather has fought 49 fights of his career and is still undefeated having won 12 world titles and lineal championship in 4 differs weight classes.

Floyd Mayweather’s aunt died from AIDS and it was because of her drug use. Mayweather’s childhood was spent under the care of his grandmother, as his father was convicted of illegal drug trafficking.

Floyd Mayweather’s workout and training are as intense as we can imagine. He trains infant of 50 to 60 people and with full concentration on his training.

His training session includes, shadow boxing, spars between 7 and 12 rounds, works the heavy bag for 20 to 30 minutes, floor work, pad work, bodysuit work, speed bag, neck work with weights, 200-sit ups, pull ups, dips, jump rope, double end bag and 5-8miles of running.

This type of training benefits the core, Mayweather chopped wood with an ax which draws a parallel old-school method of Rock Balboa training. He uses Cryosauna which is a new aged version of an ice-bath to help with his recovery.

In terms of his diet, Floyd Mayweather hired Chef Q who cooks his meals whenever he wants because he wants his food to be fresh. He avoids sugars and high carb food and strictly follows the diet plan.

He is a big lover of fast food and has admitted having cheat meals some days. His diet focuses according to the type of fight he has to fight.

Even though Floyd Mayweather is one of the highest paid athletes but he has a darker side outside the ring as well. The 40-year-old boxer has a long history of domestic violence.

In 2002, Floyd Mayweather pleaded guilty to two of those incidences. Over a five-month span in 2001-20012, he has pleaded guilty of two counts of battery domestic violence against Melissa Brim, mother of his daughter Iyanna.

Mayweather was sentenced with 48 hours of community service and two days of house arrest. The other charges of stalking, obstruction of a police officer and violation of a protective order were dismissed.

This lawsuit was dismissed in 2003. But in the same year, he was accused of punching two female friends of Josie Harris at a Las Vegas nightclub and chasing them out of the club.

In December 2011, Floyd Mayweather pleaded guilty to one count of wrongdoing battery domestic violence and no contest to two counts of harassment for hitting Josie Harris, mother of his three children.

Harris claims that when she got home, he was talking to their sons and when they got into the verbal altercation, she called cops and Mayweather left.

Mayweather only left to come back late in the night and she saw him reading her texts and after confronting Harris that she was dating someone, Floyd Mayweather started to hit her.

Floyd Mayweather was charged with multiple felonies and pleaded guilty to wrongdoing domestic assault and harassment and was sentenced to 90 days in jail. He was released a month earlier for good behavior.

Floyd Mayweather was always influenced by boxing because of his father and uncles who had been great boxers back in their time. He started his career when he won the national Golden Gloves Championships in 1993.

His amateur carer record stood at 84-8. Floyd Mayweather became the first 1996 US Olympian to win a world title in Atlanta Olympics.

He won a bronze medal in the featherweight division. His first professional fight was against Roberto Apodaca in 1996 which he won. His brilliance in the ring made him highly popular and his winning streak continued until early 1998s.

In 1999, Mayweather defended his title against Carlos Rico, Justin Juuko, and Carlos Gerena.

“The Money Fight”  Floyd Mayweather Jr. Vs Conor McGregor is also known as “The Biggest Fight in Combat Sports History”  and is a professional boxing match between Floyd Mayweather, who is undefeated eleven times five-division boxing world champion and Conor McGregor, who is two divisions mixed martial arts world champion at UFC Lightweight Champion.

Floyd Mayweather spoke to Freddie Roach to train McGregor for the fight in case it would happen. On March 27, 2017, Floyd Mayweather urged Conor to sign the contract hinting that the fight is still on. He also stated that his fight with Conor would make him come out of his retirement.

The fight was given a date of August 26, 2017, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Mayweather would earn a purse of $100M and Conor was to purse $30M. Eventually, the undefeated champion won again and reportedly earned over $300M from the fight. This was a highly publicized fight over social media.

Floyd Mayweather Drug Test


A Mysterious IV injection was received by Floyd Mayweather before his fight with Manny Pacquiao which raised questions about his relationship with drugs. Thomas Hauser of Sb Nation reported that Floyd Mayweather received it prior to fighting to help with dehydration.

Hauser reports that Mayweather did receive an exception from the USADA, but his camp did not apply for the waiver until 18 days after the fight.

According to Floyd Mayweather’s team, the fighter was given two different vitamin mixes to treat dehydration. While the injections did not include any banned substance but the use of IVs is still banned under WADA guidelines.

Pacquiao’s camp had suggested a $5M fine if either fighter tested positive for PEDs and Floyd’s camp declined which raise questions.
