I was with somebody else [that night] … and I saw Paul on the other side of the room.
He looked so beautiful that I made up my mind I would have to pick him up.” Their relationship started from there and they both married in 1969. They were leading a happy married life and by the grace of God, they were having four children: Heather McCartney (Linda’s daughter from previous marriage), Mary McCartney, Stella McCartney, and James McCartney.

And Linda’s very big on just following the moment. We were crazy. We had a big argument the night before we got married, and it was nearly called off … [it’s] miraculous that we made it. But we did.”
After Linda’s death, Paul McCartney stated in the Daily Mail, “I got a counselor because I knew that I would need some help. He was great, particularly in helping me get rid of my guilt [about wishing I’d been] perfect all the time … a real bugger.
But then I thought, hang on a minute. We’re just human. That was the beautiful thing about our marriage. We were just a boyfriend and girlfriend having babies.”

John Lenon and Paul McCartney
McCartney first meeting with John Lennon was at the Woolton fete on 6 July 1957. John Lenon was one of the four members of the Beatles band and he was also McCartney’s friend. Initially, Paul McCartney was not having a healthy relationship with John Lenon. Their relationship became better in the year 1974 and they started writing and performing songs together.
On 8 December 1980, John Lenon was murdered and Paul McCartney got this news the next day. He broke on listening to this news and he cried till night.
In January 2000, Paul McCartney said in an interview, “John is like a constant for me, he is always there in my being and in my soul, so I always think of him”.
When the reporters asked McCartney for his reaction over his friend’s murder; he responded: “It’s a drag”. He was badly trolled and criticized for his comment. Later he explained what really happened with the reporters.
In 1983, he said in an interview, “I would not have been as typically human and standoffish as I was if I knew John was going to die. I would have made more of an effort to try and get behind his “mask” and have a better relationship with him.”
All the other ex-Beatles members were astonished on the death of John Lenon and they were also afraid that they might also get killed. In 1997, McCartney confessed this thing.
In an interview in 2002, John Lenon told Mojo magazine that he considered Lennon his greatest hero. In 1982, McCartney released the song “Here Today” whom he described as “a haunting tribute” to his friendship with Lennon.
